Growing up in Hawaiʻi, the ocean has always been a big part of my life. It’s a place I feel at home, and photographing people underwater has become one of my favorite ways to create.

Underwater, everything changes. The light, the motion, the way your hair drifts through the water, and there is a freedom you feel. I love watching it all come together and capturing something that is a little unexpected.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing underwater. I’ll guide you through the whole experience so you can relax, have fun, and see what we create together.

One of my favorite things to hear when we climb back onto shore from visitors is, “That was the highlight of our trip.” I’ve heard it more than once, and I think that says a lot about these sessions. You leave with beautiful photographs, of course, but you also get to experience Maui in a way you might not have otherwise.
